This Cookie Policy explains the cookies TrumpWatch sets and why. The short version: we set only strictly-necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to protect form submissions. We set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Cookies classified as "strictly necessary" are required for a service you have asked for (here, signing in) and, under the EU ePrivacy rules, do not require prior consent.

On HTTPS, your browser may show these with a security prefix (for example __Secure-authjs.session-token or __Host-authjs.csrf-token). They serve the same purpose.
Cookies we do not set
We currently set no analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics), no advertising or retargeting cookies, and no third-party social or tracking pixels. If that ever changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
Our consent approach
Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, we do not need your consent to set them, and there is nothing to opt out of without breaking sign-in. We show a brief informational banner so you know what we do; dismissing it simply records that you have seen the notice (in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie).
